Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information.

Effective Date: March 24, 2026

Last Updated: March 24, 2026

WAGS ("WAGS," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information you provide to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit our website, communicate with us, or engage our services.

Your use of our website and services is also subject to our Terms and Conditions.

1. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected by WAGS through:

  • our website;
  • email, phone, and other communications with prospective, current, and former clients;
  • client onboarding, relationship management, and administrative processes; and
  • certain third-party vendors and service providers acting on our behalf.

This Privacy Policy does not govern information that a client stores, controls, or processes within the client's own systems, software, databases, customer records, or business tools where WAGS itself does not have access.

2. Information We Collect

WAGS collects limited information necessary to operate our business, respond to inquiries, manage client relationships, provide services, and market our services.

A. Information You Provide to Us

We may collect information you voluntarily provide to us, including:

  • name;
  • company name;
  • email address;
  • phone number;
  • business-related inquiry details;
  • communications and correspondence;
  • billing, invoicing, or administrative contact information; and
  • any other information you choose to provide in connection with an inquiry or service request.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information, including:

  • IP address;
  • browser type;
  • device type;
  • operating system;
  • referring URLs;
  • pages viewed;
  • website interactions;
  • dates and times of visits; and
  • general traffic, analytics, advertising, and performance data.

C. Information We Generally Do Not Collect

WAGS does not generally collect, store, or control a client's internal business data, customer files, customer personal information, or operational records merely because a client engages our services.

Where a client grants access to an assigned virtual assistant, that access is typically provided directly by the client to that individual for the purpose of performing requested services. Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, WAGS itself is not granted access to, and does not serve as the controller of, the client's internal operational or customer data.

3. Independent Contractor Virtual Assistants

WAGS works with virtual assistants who are independent contractors and not employees of WAGS.

Clients may, at their discretion, provide an assigned independent contractor virtual assistant with access to certain systems, software, calendars, inboxes, platforms, files, or business information in order to perform the services requested by the client.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing:

  • WAGS does not directly access the client's internal systems, files, or customer databases;
  • WAGS does not own, control, or claim rights in the client's business data;
  • WAGS only maintains the limited information necessary to communicate with the client and administer the business relationship; and
  • the client remains responsible for determining what level of access to grant to any assigned virtual assistant.

WAGS may require independent contractors to comply with confidentiality and professional conduct obligations. However, clients remain responsible for evaluating what access permissions are appropriate for their own systems, tools, and information.

4. How We Use Information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • respond to inquiries and requests;
  • communicate with prospective, current, and former clients;
  • provide, coordinate, and administer services;
  • manage onboarding and client relationships;
  • send service-related notices and administrative communications;
  • maintain records for legal, tax, accounting, and operational purposes;
  • improve our website, services, and internal processes;
  • monitor website performance, traffic, advertising, and marketing effectiveness;
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, misuse, or security issues;
  • send marketing and promotional communications, subject to applicable law; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.

WAGS does not sell personal information for monetary consideration in the ordinary sense.

5. Cookies, Tracking Technologies, Analytics, and Advertising

Our website uses cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, and similar tracking technologies for analytics, website functionality, advertising, marketing, and visitor identification purposes.

These technologies may collect information about your device, browser, IP address, online identifiers, pages viewed, website interactions, referring URLs, and the dates and times of your visits.

We currently use third-party technologies and services including:

  • Google Analytics, to measure website traffic, user behavior, and website performance;
  • Google Tag Manager, to deploy and manage tracking and marketing tags on our website; and
  • Facebook Pixel, to measure ad performance, understand user interactions, support targeted advertising, and facilitate remarketing.

In addition, when you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate those activities with other personal information they or others may have about you, including by association with your email address or home address. We, or service providers acting on our behalf, may then use that information to send communications and marketing to those email or home addresses.

You may opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting:

You may also be able to manage or disable certain cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling some cookies may affect website functionality.

By using our website, you acknowledge that these analytics, advertising, and tracking technologies may be used as described in this Privacy Policy.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information in the following circumstances:

A. Service Providers and Vendors

We may share information with service providers and vendors that support our business operations, including providers of:

  • website hosting;
  • customer relationship management (CRM);
  • analytics;
  • scheduling;
  • communications;
  • email and marketing services;
  • data collection and visitor identification services;
  • administrative tools; and
  • accounting, invoicing, or related support services.

These service providers are authorized to use information only as necessary to provide services to WAGS or as otherwise permitted by law.

B. Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights

We may disclose information where required by law or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • comply with legal process, law enforcement requests, or governmental requests;
  • protect our rights, property, or safety;
  • protect the rights, property, or safety of clients, contractors, or others; or
  • investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

C. Business Transfers

Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a merger, sale, restructuring, financing, acquisition, dissolution, or other corporate transaction involving all or part of our business.

7. Client Data and Access Limitations

WAGS's business model is structured so that WAGS generally maintains only client contact and relationship information, such as names, business contact information, communication records, and administrative details.

If a client provides an assigned independent contractor virtual assistant with access to the client's systems or information, that does not, by itself, mean WAGS has access to that same information.

Accordingly, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing:

  • WAGS is not the custodian of the client's internal operational data;
  • WAGS is not the system administrator for the client's internal tools merely by arranging services;
  • WAGS does not routinely review, store, or monitor the substantive business data a client makes available to an independent contractor virtual assistant; and
  • the client controls the scope of access granted within the client's own systems.

Clients should use appropriate internal controls and grant only the level of system and data access they deem necessary.

8. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

  • maintain prospect and client records;
  • provide and administer services;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations;
  • resolve disputes; and
  • enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information, legal requirements, and operational needs.

9. Data Security

WAGS uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information we collect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is fully secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • request access to personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • request deletion of personal information, subject to applicable exceptions;
  • request information about how your personal information is used or disclosed; and
  • opt out of marketing communications.

11. California Privacy Notice

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under applicable California law, subject to certain exceptions, including the right to:

  • know the categories of personal information we collect, use, disclose, and retain;
  • request deletion of personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information; and
  • not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

WAGS does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, we use third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, and visitor identification technologies on our website, and certain of those activities may be considered "sharing" or related regulated activity under California law.

California residents may submit privacy requests by contacting us at Info@oceanvirtualassistant.com.

12. Marketing Communications

We may send marketing or promotional communications as permitted by law. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us directly.

Opting out of marketing communications does not prevent us from sending service-related, transactional, or administrative communications.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or content practices of those third parties. You should review their applicable privacy policies before providing information to them.

14. Children's Privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

15. International Users

If you access our website from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in our discretion. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website or services after any update becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
